Why Go On to Train as a Laughter Yoga Teacher?

If the Two Day Laughter Yoga Leader Training is where you learn to share laughter, the 5 day Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher Training is where you begin to explore and live it even more deeply.

It’s a natural next step — not because you have to, but because something in you wants to explore further

You begin to notice more clearly how laughter:
Helps you move through stress and emotions
Brings your nervous system back into balance
Shifts your perspective (sometimes when nothing else quite does)
Connects you more honestly with others

And alongside that personal deepening, your ability to hold space for others expands too.

From a science perspective, you’re working with everything we know about neuroplasticity, breath, and the body’s natural capacity to regulate and heal.

The Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher Training also opens another doorway.
It gives you the skills, confidence, and understanding to teach others to become Laughter Yoga Leaders.

You’re no longer just leading sessions — you’re supporting others to step into that role too.

Guiding them to find their own way of sharing laughter, in their own voice, in their own communities.

It’s about creating a safe, non-judgemental space – where all emotions are welcome.

When people arrive – they bring everything.
Stress. Grief. Irritation. Tiredness. Joy. Numbness. Hope. And in this space, none of that needs to be fixed or pushed away.
Instead, it’s gently held.

As a Laughter Yoga Teacher, you learn how to hold that space with care — allowing people to laugh, soften, release, or just quietly be — without pressure or expectation

A Laughter Yoga Leader you train might bring laughter into:
A workplace that’s been running on stress and pressure
A care home where connection and lightness are deeply needed
A school, a community group, a support circle
A family that hasn’t laughed together in a long time

Creating spaces, held with warmth and non-judgement, allow people to feel safe enough to be real – laughter lands differently – connection deepens.

Learning that release of emotion is just old energy moving through the body – you’re offering something many people rarely experience: a place where they don’t have to pretend.

Someone who feels met — not judged — may:
Speak more kindly to a partner
Have more patience with a child
Feel safer expressing themselves
Or simply carry a little more ease into their day
And then that touches someone else.

You see the change in people.
You feel the difference in yourself.
You witness connection happening in real time.

You may never see the full extent of that ripple — but it’s happening

In a world that can feel heavy, rushed, and disconnected…that’s a wonderful thing

Why Laughing for No Reason is the Smartest Thing You’ll Do Today

Why Laughing for No Reason is the Smartest Thing You'll Do Today

Why Laughing for No Reason Might Be the Smartest Thing You Do Today!

It might sound unusual, but laughing for no reason can be one of the simplest and smartest ways to support your wellbeing.

Laughter Yoga works because it engages both the body and the mind at the same time.

In everyday life, we tend to think, “I’ll laugh when I feel happy.”

Laughter Yoga gently turns that around: “Laugh first—and the feeling follows.”

By simulating laughter, you stimulate real laughter.

Even if it begins as intentional, your body responds as though it’s genuine. The nervous system doesn’t distinguish much between “real” and “practice” laughter, so the benefits begin almost immediately.

This simple shift can:
Reduce physical tension and stress
Lift your mood and ease anxiety
Increase oxygen levels, helping you feel more awake and energised
Support connection through shared laughter
Interrupts negative or repetitive thinking patterns naturally

Over time, the effects can be quite profound – more clarity, able to have a different perspective – less caught up in worry or overthinking.

Laughter provides a natural release—a kind of emotional clearing – the mind is given space to reset

When the usual mental noise quiets down, what remains is a deeper peace thats always there underneath

Why Choose the Two Day Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training ?

The Laughter Yoga Leader training is very experiential – you deepen your relationship with the healing cathartic benefits of laughter

You also learn science, background and a simple, down-to-earth framework which enables you to gain the insurance to professionally share Laughter Yoga sessions for others if you choose

Most of us don’t wake up thinking, “You know what I need today? A really good, intentional laugh.”

And yet… that might be exactly what we’re missing …somewhere along the way, laughter got demoted. It became something that happens if something funny comes along — like a bonus – not a basic human need.

When you guide a group through laughter, something remarkable happens.
You’re not just leading exercises — you’re helping people:
Move out of stress mode (fight/flight) into a calmer, more regulated state
Activate breath and oxygen flow through the body
Shift their brain chemistry in real time
Experience connection without needing words, stories or explanations

Using sound, breath and a little willingness to feel a bit better – your body doesnt know the difference between real or simulated laughter – it releases dopamine, oxytocin, seratonin the wonderful endorphins which lift the mood whilst lowering cortisol – the stress hormones

This provides a gentle yet powerful reset for the nervous system.

The brain is wired for change. This is called neuroplasticity — the ability of the brain to rewire itself based on what you repeatedly do and experience.

If days are filled with pressure, rushing, overthinking, and “just getting through”… the brain gets very good at that.

When you introduce regular laughter — playful, embodied, shared laughter — you begin to build new pathways – ones linked to the release of stress, a deeper sense of relaxation, connection to self and from that place – connection to others

People often notice, they feel lighter, respond differently to stress and sleep better

Over the Two Day Certified Laughter Yoga Leader training you learn how to, in a real, grounded way

Create a safe, welcoming space where people can relax and be themselves
Guide laughter exercises (without needing to be funny or perform)
Use breath, playfulness, and connection to support wellbeing

People don’t come for perfection.
They come for authenticity.

Someone’s face softens.
Someone who walked in tense leaves lighter.
A group that started as strangers ends up genuinely connected.

Becoming a Laughter Yoga Leader weaves into everyday life.
You may notice you:
Take things a little less seriously in a good way
Recover more quickly from difficult moments
Feel more comfortable being yourself
Bring lightness into spaces that need it

It’s not about being happy all the time
It’s about having tools that help you come back to yourself — and offering that same doorway to others.

The more you share laughter, the more it deepens in you too

How Laughter Yoga Rewires Your Brain for Joy & Resilience

You might be surprised at how different things can look on the other side of a laugh!

If you’ve been feeling low, tense, or a bit disconnected from yourself, Laughter Yoga meets you where you are

It doesn’t require you to feel happy or to find something funny. It simply begins with something simple: a breath, a smile, and a willingness to try.

When you laugh—even intentionally—your body responds as if the laughter is real

This triggers the release of “feel-good” chemicals like endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin.

These help lift your mood, reduce stress, and bring a sense of emotional balance.

At the same time, stress hormones such as cortisol begin to drop, allowing your body to soften and relax.

You cant be worried about tomorrow or thinking about the past when you are laughing

The brain’s ability to change and adapt—with a regular laughter yoga practice can begin to form new pathways – building resilience, and a more positive outlook.

‘When you change, the world changes’

Time to Laugh ?

Why Laughter Yoga?

The Research

Studies have shown that breath work, laughter exercises and meditation help improve mental health as well as having benefits similar to exercise. All of these are incorporated into Laughter Yoga sessions.

Medical research shows the body doesn’t know the difference between real and simulated laughter. Done with willingness, all the great benefits can be experienced through simulated laughter. A good laugh can help you release stress. A shift in mood takes place and life can be seen from a more positive perspective.

Physical benefits

Laughter yoga activates the body’s feel good hormones and natural painkillers and lowers the stress hormone cortisol. For sufferers of chronic pain, laughing and smiling can be very effective in pain management, for instance.

When you laugh, on the out breath the old air released reduces toxins and stress from the system. The new breath you take in is filled with more oxygen and nutrients that supports brain and body functions. As a result, you will have more energy and a better supported the immune system. In turn, this builds productivity and resilience in the workplace.

Supporting mental health in the workplace

Laughter is the antidote to stress. Supporting mental health in the workplace can be done through laughter. Taking time to have fun helps create balance. Laughter is contagious and can support the process of opening your heart to giving and receiving. It’s easy to laugh when things are going well and you feel good. But if you are feeling stressed or going through a difficult period in your life you may not feel like laughing at all. Smiling and laughing comes naturally but as we transition from child to adult, you can lose this natural joyful expression. You can connect to this innate ability, still within us, by making more room in life for smiling and laughter

A good laugh can help mental health by releasing stress and feelings that may have been held down for a while. If left to build up, this can lead to depletion, burn-out and ‘dis-ease’. Laughing helps you remain in the present moment. When you are laughing you can’t be worried about yesterday or thinking about tomorrow.

Team building in the workplace

Laughter breaks down barriers and supports better communication. Whether with friends, loved ones, family or co-workers. By stepping back and finding a way to laugh, you can more easily get through many life challenges.

The techniques, breath work and meditation practices used in Laughter Yoga help individuals and groups release stress in a therapeutic and fun way which can have a positive impact on health and in all areas of life.

You can liken the ability to laugh to a muscle. Like with any muscle, the more you use it the stronger it becomes. Laughter Yoga can support your ability to smile and laugh more easily and spontaneously, even if you haven’t felt like it for a while.

Wellbeing through Laughter Yoga Sessions provide opportunity to optimise wellness at work through team building, solution-based communication, collaboration and co-operation which can greatly benefit wellbeing in all aspects of life and in the workplace.
